Venerable Dreadnought Yurizen

I thought as I had the opportunity I'd get some pictures of this fella uploaded. He's been painted a little while ago and recently I won a painting competition down my local Games Workshop
No money or free models as a prize XP The staff put it in the display case in front of the window for a week which was good ^^ Soon after going in yesterday to collect him, he was plunged into a game and promptly started blasting and carving his way through the enemy army's troops. Not bad for his first fight XD
The name comes from a character from the anime Escaflowne. Yurizen was one of the knights who was killed early on in the series, hence why my dreadnought has that name.

As for the model's character itself, his back story is that he was leading his Terminator squad into a Space Hulk where it was rumoured that a Chapter Relic was on board.
There was little enemy contact until after they managed to find and recover the Relic. Yurizen's squad was ambushed by three Carnifex as they were close to escaping the Hulk.
Though two of them were brought down with heavy fire, the third was larger and tougher than the others, smashing Yurizen's battle brothers aside with relative ease.
He fought the monstrosity for what must have been several hours, exchanging blows until his Power Sword finally shattered. Yurizen took up the Chapter Relic, which was an ornately crafted Thunder Hammer, and landed a single blow upon its head. The beast seemed all but dead until it lashed out with a scythed limb and cut him from shoulder to waist.
Before Yurizen's life could ebb away, a crew member from the Thuderhawk Gunship sent to extract Yurizen's squad pulled him on board with the Chapter Relic. The Apothacery on board was made aware of Yurzien's sacrifice and prepared him for interment within a dreadnought.
The Chapter Relic later became known as 'Draconian Thunder' and was handed down to each successive captain of the Draconis 1st Company. Yurizen retained his banner of the Star Blazing Dragon, which he was awarded due to his skill in spaceship boarding actions.
